Andrea
Co-founder & owner
she/her

Andrea Boswell-Burns is a Kansas City native who specializes in collecting degrees and licenses she may never need. She is a creative soul who has always dreamed of making her favorite things her day job–hence, Hula Hoop! While she spends most of her time working on Hula Hoop or hanging with her cute husband and 3 boys, Andrea is also a professional actress and vocalist in the KC area. Andrea’s major fashion icons include Miss Piggy, Elle Woods, Midge Maisel, and any female from the Mad Men cast. She believes that each day is a chance to show another part of ourselves through our clothing and accessories and wants to give her friends, family, and all of KC options to feel fabulous! She wants Hula Hoop to be less shop and more experience and a place for all sizes and budgets. Cheers!

Brittany
Co-founder
she/her

Born and raised in the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri by parents from West Virginia, Brittany’s got Midwestern values and a little Southern charm. She believes in Jesus, hard work, saying hi to everyone who passes by, KC BBQ, and sweet tea. Brittany is an attorney and loves serving her clients, but her passions and pursuits can’t be limited to the law - she loves playing soccer, traveling the world, and spending time with her family (especially her adorable, talented, funny nephews and niece). With family as a focus of her life, it only made sense to start a business with big sister and Hula Hoop co-founder, Andrea Marie Boswell-Burns. While the two are opposite in almost every way, they have used their distinct viewpoints to create a common vision for Hula Hoop: inclusive,
fun-loving, and photo-worthy!
